Symposium Scope:
The ISITC2007 is an international refereed symposium dedicated to the advancement of the information technology convergence. It is intended to provide a forum for the discussion and presentation of original ideas, recent results and achievements by researchers, students, and system developers on issues and challenges related to IT convergence and its applications. The symposium features prominent invited speakers as well as contributed technical papers by top researchers in the field. Authors are encouraged to submit both theoretical and practical results of significance. Interdisciplinary papers related to IT convergence of broad range scientific fields are welcomed.
The key topics of the symposium include, but are not restricted to:
- Signal and Image Processing for IT Convergence: Computational methods on processing of analogue and digital signals; Speech and biomedical signal processing and coding; Image analysis and pattern recognition; Image/video coding and transmission, Cultural contents processing.
- Web and Database Technology for IT Convergence: Web search engines; Web page ranking algorithms; XML/RDF/OWL; Semantic Web; Web mining; Ontology development, Data semantics & integration; Data mining & OLAP; Data privacy & security; Data storage, retrieval & transaction management.
- IT Convergence in Bio-inspired Intelligence: Nonlinear and chaotic circuits; Cellular neural networks; Methods of network circuit analysis, synthesis, design (including VLSI), and optimization, Biosensors; Biochips; Bioinformatics; Biorobotics; Bioelectronics & bioMEMS; BioICT convergence.
- IT Convergence in Health Care: Electronic health records; RFID and medication safety; Needs for medical imaging in health care; Image generation and capture.
- IT Convergence in Robotics: Robot vision, Sensor information fusion, Robot navigation, Robot localization, Speech recognition for robots, Intelligent agricultural robots.
- IT Convergence in Transportation System: Telematics and ITS, GIS, Multimedia messaging, Infotainment, Traffic information system, Mobile internet, Driver's safety, Autonomous navigation, Obstacle detection.
- Embedded Systems: DSP & Multimedia; SDRs; Wireless sensor nodes; Linux; Managing; Multi-core, Multi-threaded processors, Networking & Communications.
- Human-Computer Interaction: Ubiquitous interactivity, Learning and training for HCI, Interaction for the performing arts, Mobile media access and sharing.
- Ubiquitous System: Sensor networks, Ubiquitous computing, Ubiquitous networks, Ubiquitous learning, Parallel distributed computing.
- Virtual Reality: 3D interaction for VR, Computer graphics techniques for VR, Advanced display and immersive projection technology , Distributed and collaborative VR.
- Convergence Applications: Applications of above which represent convergence of information technology to a wide range of fields including: medicine, environment, industry, communications, etc.

- Paper submission deadline: July 31, 2007
- Tutorial proposal submission due: July 15, 2007
- Notification of acceptance: August 20, 2007
- Camera-ready papers due: September 8, 2007
- Registration deadline: September 8, 2007
- Symposium dates: November 23-24, 2007
Initial submission:
ISITC 2007 invites submission of manuscripts that present original research results, and that have not been previously published or are currently under review by another conference or journal. Any previous or simultaneous publication of related material should be explicitly noted in the submission. Submissions should be full-length papers that are no longer than 5 double-column pages conforming to the IEEE - proceeding paper format, including all figures and references. All papers must be submitted in PDF format, and no other formats are accepted by the paper submission web site. Submissions will be judged on originality, significance, interest, clarity, relevance, and correctness.
All papers for ISITC 2007 must be submitted electronically through the CMT Conference Management Service.

Accepted full papers:
The proceedings will be published by IEEE Computer Society's Conference Publishing Services CPS. The CPS will archive the publication to IEEE Xplore and the IEEE computer society digital libraries. It will also arrange for indexing through IEE INSPEC, IE (Compendex), Thomson ISI, and other indexing services. At least one of the authors of each accepted paper must present the paper at ISITC 2007 in order to have the papers to be published in the ISITC 2007 proceeding.
