WELCOME MESSAGE:

Open Welcome Message in PPT Format

Welcome to the First International Conference on Electronics and Information Technology Convergence (EITC) sponsored by the IEEE and KIEE. It is a great pleasure and privilege for us to hold this conference.

In recent years, electronics and the information technology are evolving in a tremendous speed. The technologies sometimes converge creating new paradigms. The circuit technology evolves into the VLSI, which enables us to store a great amount of information in a single chip. The advanced circuitry technology together with digital expression of information results in today’s personal computers and creates a new field of signal processing called the electro-information paradigm. The integration of the microwave technology, optical electronics together with circuit technology enables the evolution of the modern data communication and network technology, which gives the birth of today’s web technology and distributed computing. In the course of such evolution, merging and convergence, a lot of applications beneficial to human life are created. In summary, the trend in the modern technical world indicates that inter-discipline among related fields is becoming important. There is a strong need to establish a stage for researchers to exchange their novel research ideas and experiences in this area. This motivates us to initiate this International Conference on Electronics and Information Technology Convergence. We hope that the event will encourage researchers to make contributions in their field of expertise, which in turn contributes to other technological fields.

One good news is that the EITC could be supported by the BK21 program, which is an advanced education program (BK21) of Korean government, as well as IEEE and KIEE,. We believe that both of the EITC and the BK21 program would get great benefit through this cooperation.

We appreciate your participation and hope that you experience a fruitful interaction with other researchers.

Wish you all the best.

General Co-Chair
